LA Times and the future of News Radio

Is see that the LA Times has started podcasting. If AP and Reuters decide to add podcast feeds I'd say news radio is really going to have to rethink its game. My forecast: Transmitters will only be  barrier to entry into the regular radio market for another 5-10 years until wifi radio takes off (in major urban markets anyway). There are already some wifi based radios on the market. Reporting is going to get easier and easier too. How long before we are all using high quality wifi phones? Sat dish communications will be relegated to the far flung corners of the world.
